An unconference is an open space event which supports participants to create their agenda/ topics for the day and to explore those which most interest them. While the unconference agenda is created at the event, we understand more detail is helpful to provide a framework for everyone, especially first-time “unconferencers”, to know what to expect and how to prepare for this kind of gathering. Note, however, that things are subject to change.
Similar to last year, the unconference will look something like the following “schedule” and will take place in Room 420 and 4 additional classrooms. All rooms will have internet, a computer & projector, pens, sticky notes, and paper. If you are planning to do a session and would like to use your own computer, there is a VGA connection to the projection system. Mac users please bring your own dongle (VGA).

A final note: the unconference format is meant to allow for openness, creativity and spontaneity. Much prep work has been done to put a framework in place and to inspire you to think about a pitch and share what’s relevant and interesting to you. As well, flexible learning spaces and food have been ordered for the day. We have done our best for creating conditions for great learning and networking. Now the real success will depend on you! Your participation and contribution to the day!

Join in the fun, register until Monday November 2nd and post a pitch!
