[Job posting] Instructional Development Consultant @ BCIT

BCIT works in part because of its commitment to quality teaching and the provision of career-ready education for our graduates. For over 25 years the Institute has invested in the support of quality education through its Learning and Teaching Centre (LTC). To this day the LTC remains one of the largest and most innovative Centres of its type in Canada.
The LTC is currently seeking a temporary, full-time Instructional Development Consultant. The successful candidate will have proven abilities as a post-secondary educator. Must be trained and experienced in the design, development and implementation of curriculum projects and the design of instruction with a particular emphasis on blended learning using a broad range of instructional tools. The successful candidate will be a proficient project manager. Your teaching experience at the post-secondary level must be recent and exemplary. The successful candidate is expected to be a self-starter with the ability to lead both projects and teams in support of our six schools.
As an Instructional Development Consultant (IDC) you will join a team of professionals who support our instructors through designing courses, developing new programs, evaluating programs, and supporting the advancement of teaching practice using a wide and evolving range of techniques and educational technologies. As an IDC you will join a team of educators focused on delivering the unique value of a BCIT education; one that is practical, current and career focused.
