ETUG is excited to be part of the first ever Festival of Learning taking place in Burnaby, from June 6th – 9th!
This year’s ETUG workshop theme is “Studio”.  Studio is about collaboration, interactivity, hands-on, design, and making.  Come present, teach, collaborate, and share your studios or studio experiences with the ETUG community.
We invite you to submit a proposal for any or all of the following session types:

  • Concurrent Sessions (45 min or 1.5 hr)
  • ETUG Studio (3 hr)
  • DemoFest/Posters

The ETUG Call  for Proposals opens February 3rd and closes March 21at.   We welcome your submissions!

SESSION FORMATS

Concurrent Sessions (45 or 90 minutes)

These are highly participatory and interactive (or hands-on) sessions fostering collaborative development and discussion of ideas around teaching, learning and technology. Sessions are 45 minutes (including time allowed for room changes) but we will accommodate more hands-on technology sessions or very interactive formats with a 90 minute time slot.

ETUG Studios (3 hours)

These are hands-on maker or DIY type sessions where participants are provided with materials to create and make something.  The focus will be on educational technology related projects but are not exclusively limited to ed tech.

DemoFest/Posters

Share an exciting project or innovation from your institution or show a cool technology, gadget, or learning technique! Demofest/posters will be setup for you as an opportunity to networking and informal sharing. We will provide:

  • A display board (4′ x 4′) and items to secure your poster to the display board (tape or tacks) if no appropriate wall space is available;
  • Access to power and the internet and a small table for equipment, if requested.
DIY Tech Lightning Sessions (3 minutes plus)

This plenary session is a fast-paced and fun way to talk about your interesting teaching, learning and tech discoveries. Give the highlights in 3 minutes!

Unconference (30 minutes or longer as needed)

At the unconference, ideas for sessions are “pitched” at the beginning plenary session. the morning of the event day.  A schedule will be dynamically generated from these pitches and posted.
