Registration for the Program for Open Scholarship and Education (POSE) is open!
Are you interested in how open and transparent practices can be applied to scholarship? The 2023 UBC Program for Open Scholarship and Education (POSE) is a three-month flexible and blended program that will help you develop foundational knowledge of open scholarship, including open access publishing, open science and research, and open education. POSE will explore how open copyright licenses, collaborative practices, and networked technologies have the potential to lower barriers to knowledge by making the processes and products of scholarship more distributed, transparent, reproducible, and accessible. The program is open and free for faculty and staff, post-docs, graduate students, undergraduate students and more broadly, to all those in higher education.

POSE will run from May to July 2023 and will consist of online models and monthly synchronous Zoom sessions. To support participant flexibility, the program is composed of online self-paced modules that you can complete over three months as well as two online synchronous sessions during the program. We will also host optional sessions each month where you can engage with various practitioners in the different areas of open scholarship and meet other participants in a synchronous environment.
