Slack or Mattermost

Some of you may have noticed that Slack (home of our online conversations) has changed the features available in its free version. While the old free version of Slack kept the last 10,000 messages (which we blew past a few years ago), the new free version only keeps messages for 90 days. A paid version of Slack is based on the number of users and would run to thousands of dollars per year.
