ETUG 25th Anniversary Conference


Welcome to the ETUG 25th anniversary conference site. We’re looking forward to seeing you at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops on June 20 & 21st, 2019 for this very special ETUG event.

For 25 years, ETUG’s annual conference has gathered the most dynamic and creative educational technology professionals from around the province of B.C. for an intensive, highly collaborative exploration of new educational technologies, best practices, and pressing issues in higher ed. ETUG’s impact has been felt by hundreds of educators, instructors, teachers— and ultimately students.

Our theme for this special ETUG gathering is Back to the Future: Looking Back, Moving ForwardIt embraces moving educational technology forward with all its possibilities for innovation and expanding knowledge, while at the same time, looking back, learning from, and honouring what has gone before and recognizing core principles that have stood the test of time.

Keynotes

We have 2 exciting keynotes lined up for the conference.

  • Dr. Maren Deepwell is the CEO of the Association for Learning Technology in the UK.
  • Dr. Malcolm Brown is the Director of Learning Initiatives for EDUCAUSE.

Venue Map

Our host venue for the conference is Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia. Location for the conference will be the Campus Activity Centre building on campus.

Accomodations

ETUG has secured a cluster of rooms at the conference venue at TRU. We also have some recommendations for other accommodations in and around Kamloops. Check our accommodations page for more information.

Social Events

ETUG would not be ETUG without social events, and this 25th anniversary is no exception. We’re planning some special events for the 25th anniversary. We’ll be telling you more in the coming weeks.

Complimentary childcare will be available for conference attendees. Please note spaces are limited for each event, and that you must indicate that you require childcare on your registration form. More information on childcare.
