Faculty/Assistant Chair, Master of Science in Instructional Technology, NYIT Vancouver

The Assistant Chair will be responsible for leading the Vancouver-based Instructional Technology program in coordination with the New York School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Education Instructional Technology department chair. The Assistant Chair will engage in innovative instructional technology departmental leadership overseeing the delivery and quality of the curricula, instruction, teaching, assessments, and program accreditation. Responsibilities of the Assistant Chair include teaching instructional technology courses and administrative duties, such as, scheduling courses and faculty assignments, recruiting and advising students, and collaborating with faculty members in scholarly research and grant writing. The assistant chair will engage in recruiting students and faculty for the program working with admissions and marketing to promote the Instructional Technology Master’s degree.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Instructional Technology/Educational Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Successful candidate must have at least five years’ full-time college/university teaching experience, a strong research record and an active research agenda. Additionally, K-12 teaching experience and familiarity with the British Columbia system is preferred.
Prior administrative experience in higher education, experience with program assessment and accreditation, online education, and program development are preferred.
