Tell us a bit about where you work and what you do.

I work in Academic Technology Services at Douglas College, as an online learning designer, which includes facilitating training in the Blackboard LMS, educational technology applications, and how to use related tools.

How long have you been involved in teaching and Learning and ed technology? 9 years
What’s one thing you really love about the work you do? I love the idea of humanizing online environments, through a combination of collaborating with instructors, other support staff and students, with a process involving knowledge sharing, conversation, and conviviality.
How long have you been a member of ETUG?  3 years
What do you like best about this community and its activities? I enjoy the conferences and the un-conferences: comparing experiences with other learning designers and instructors using educational technology.
Do you have a favorite ETUG memory? Among many, one that comes to mind first is encountering the idea of the 21st Century Educator in Simon Bates 2015 presentation.
What would you like ETUG to provide more of in terms of benefits/value to members? Any input or help you want to ask members to provide? Right now, I have a good match of my ability to participate/contribute and receive benefits from the conferences, archives, and online events.
Do you have any special interests/hobbies? Yes, lately I am interested in photography, video blogging, sustainability topics, integrating online, classroom, and off-campus environments, and mutually enjoyable repartee.
Anything special you what to ask or share with members? Thank you for all the work you have been doing. Looking forward to the October workshop, and other ways to connect.
