Meet Melissa Robertson from Vancouver Island University

Tell us a bit about where you work and what you do.
I work at Vancouver Island University (VIU) as a Learning Technologies Support Specialist. I support faculty and students in the use of our online learning management system, WordPress, and video streaming server (Kaltura).
How long have you been involved in teaching and learning and educational technology?
3+ years. But I taught in K-12 for 7 years before that.
What is one thing you really love about the work you do?
Working with and collaborating with faculty and students.
How long have you been a member of ETUG? (Since what year?)
Since I started working at VIU.
What do you like best about this community and its activities?
The networking and the chance to collaborate with peers.
Do you have a favourite ETUG memory?
Getting this pen (the High-5 ETUG pen).
What would you like ETUG to provide more of in terms of benefits/value to members? Any input or help you want to ask members to provide?
Not that I can think of right now.
Do you have any special interests/hobbies?
I love golf, hiking, and am an outdoor enthusiast.

This is my first conference and it has been great! Thank-you! 🙂
