Session Description
A sequence of slides accompanied by instructor audio is one of the easiest multimedia enhancements to an online course. But how do you get this media online in a form that best supports learning. Keith Webster and Hayley Hewson from Technology Integrated Learning at the University of Victoria will share the results of their recent evaluation of various solutions to this problem.
Presenter Biographies
Keith Webster is an instructional designer and educational technologist at the University of Victoria where he also occasionally teaches educational technology as a sessional instructor in the Faculty of Education. Keith spent ten years teaching in the Armed Forces before a short stint as a highschool teacher. In his ‘spare time’ Keith teaches in the Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning at Thompson Rivers University.
Hayley Hewson is an instructional designer and educational technologist at the University of Victoria, and is currently enrolled in the MET program (Masters of Educational Technology) at UBC. Hayley began her career as a K-12 teacher, and has been working at UVic for the past fifteen years in several different capacities. Hayley enjoys working with instructors to develop online courses that provide the best learning experience for students.
